Mocha Syrup Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 None large eggs
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup self-rising flour, plus 2 tbsp, sifted
    1 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted
    12 tbsp butter, melted
    1 tbsp instant coffee powder, dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water
    None None FOR THE COFFEE SYRUP
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    3 tsp instant coffee powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease an 8 inch baba cake pan.
    Whisk eggs until thick and creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until dissolved between each addition. Fold in flour and cocoa powder. Add butter and coffee mixture. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 40 mins. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then turn out onto a wire rack placed over a rimmed baking tray.
    Meanwhile, to make the coffee syrup, combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Reserve 1/4 cup hot coffee syrup. Pour remaining syrup over hot cake. Serve drizzled with reserved syrup.
