Bread And Butter Pudding With Summer Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 tbsp butter, softened
    8 slices white bread
    1 lb frozen summer fruit, thawed and drained
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 1/2 cups milk
    3 None medium eggs, beaten
    None None whipped cream, to serve
Preparation
    Spread the butter on the bread slices and cut each into 4 triangles. Place about 10 triangles in the base of an 8-cup ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with half the fruit and 1/3 of the sugar. Repeat the layers, finishing with bread triangles and sugar.
    For the custard, mix the eggs and milk together in a bowl. Pour slowly into the baking dish. Press bread down so that the milk mixture covers it. Let soak 20 mins.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F. Bake 45-50 mins until top is golden and crisp and custard is set. Serve warm with whipped cream.
