Chapatis - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour, plus 1/4 cup extra
1 cup whole wheat flour, plus 2 tbsp
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp ghee
180 ml warm water, approximately
60 g white plain flour, extra
Preparation

Sift flour and salt into a large bowl. Cut in ghee. Add around 3/4 cup water and mix until combined. Turn out onto a floured work surface and knead for 10 mins, working in about an extra 1/4 cup flour. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
Divide dough into 14 portions. Roll out on a floured work surface into 8 inch rounds. Cover and set aside for 10 mins.
Heat a grill pan or heavy-bottomed frying pan over high heat. Working with 1 chapati at a time, place on hot grill pan and cook for 30 seconds, or until just starting to brown. Flip over and place uncooked side directly over a medium flame until chapati begins to blister. Repeat with remaining chapatis.
Serve warm.
