Chocolate-Berry Shortcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 tbsp (1 1/4 sticks) butter, at room temperature
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
    3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, grated
    2 tbsp milk
    1 tub (8 oz) mascarpone cheese
    1 pint strawberries, sliced
    None None Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Fold in flour and chocolate alternately with milk. Mix to form a stiff dough.
    Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut out 12 hearts (or rounds) with a 3 1/2-inch cookie cutter. Place on prepared pan.
    Bake for 8-10 mins, or until crisp and golden. Cool in pan on wire rack.
    Spread a little mascarpone on half the shortcakes. Sprinkle with berries. Top with remaining shortcakes. Dust with cocoa powder. Serve immediately.
