Albert Squares (Australian Coconut And Currant Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 tbsp golden syrup, treacle or honey
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 None large eggs
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
    3/4 cup self-rising flour, sifted
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup currants, rinsed, drained
    -1 None Icing
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 tsp butter, softened
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1/2 cup shredded coconut, for sprinkling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease an 8x12 inch rimmed baking tray.
    Beat butter, sugar, golden syrup and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well between additions. Stir in flour, milk then currants. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 25 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Meanwhile, to make the icing, sift powdered sugar into a small bowl. Stir in butter and lemon juice. Spread over warm cake then sprinkle with coconut. Let cake cool in pan before slicing.
