Salted Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    5 oz popcorn kernels
    3/4 cup sugar
    3 tbsp butter
    2 tbsp golden syrup or light corn syrup
Preparation
    Heat oil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add popcorn kernels and cover with a tight-fitting lid. Once corn starts to pop, shake saucepan occasionally to ensure all kernels pop. Remove from heat and stand for 1 minute before removing lid.
    Meanwhile, line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Place sugar, butter and syrup in a saucepan on medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, swirling pan occasionally to combine ingredients. Allow to bubble for 4-5 minutes or until darkened in color but not burned.
    Drizzle caramel over popcorn, working quickly, and stir well to coat each piece. Season with salt to taste. Spread popcorn on prepared trays and let stand until caramel sets. Break popcorn into pieces to serve.
