Baked Bananas With Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    2 tbsp golden syrup or light corn syrup
    1 cup brown sugar
    3/4 cup heavy cream
    4 None firm medium bananas, in skins
    1/4 cup brandy or rum
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
    For the sauce, melt butter and golden syrup together in a medium saucepan on low heat. Add brown sugar and stir occasionally until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in cream. Set aside.
    Place bananas in a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
    Carefully slit skins and remove bananas. Transfer bananas to a large frying pan. Pour brandy over. Heat for 1 minute on medium. Turn off heat, light brandy with a match and allow to flame until flames subside. Serve with warm sauce.
