Chocolate And Raisin Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups rolled oats
    1 cup flour, sifted
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup flaked coconut
    8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
    1 tbsp golden syrup or maple syrup
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/3 cup chopped raisins
    7 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease and line a 12 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, extending paper above long sides for handles.
    Combine the oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a large bowl.
    Place the butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Stir on low heat for 2-3 mins until melted.
    Combine 2 tbsp boiling water and baking soda in a small bowl. Stir into the butter mixture. Pour into the dry ingredients. Mix in the walnuts and raisins. Press the mixture very firmly into the prepared pan using a fork.
    Bake for 25-30 mins until golden. Cool in the pan.
    Spread the chocolate over the top. Refrigerate until firm. Using a hot knife, cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
