Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 cup full-fat evaporated milk
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp butter, chopped
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation

Place the evaporated milk, sugars and butter in a small saucepan on low heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Mix the cornstarch with 1 tbsp water until smooth. Add to the pan. Stir until the sauce boils and thickens slightly.
Remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Serve the warm sauce over fruit, pancakes, waffles, ice cream, etc. Store in covered container in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
