Anzac Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter, chopped
    2 tbsp golden syrup
    1 cup self-rising flour
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 cups rolled oats
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
    Combine butter and syrup in a small saucepan over moderate heat. Cook and stir for 2-3 mins or until melted. Cool slightly.
    Place flour, sugar and oats in a medium bowl. Stir in butter mixture. Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls. Place on prepared baking sheets; flatten slightly. Bake for 10-12 mins or until golden, swapping positions in the oven halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cool on baking sheets.
