Penne With Brussels Sprouts And Ragu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tbsp oil
    1 None small onion, peeled and chopped
    2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
    3 oz pancetta, chopped
    1 (14 oz can) chopped tomatoes
    1/4 cup basil leaves
    1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed, halved
    1 lb penne pasta
    None None shaved parmesan, to serve
Preparation
    Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium heat. Cook the onion for 5 mins, until soft. Add the garlic and pancetta and cook for 2 mins. Add the tomatoes, 1 cup of water and the basil. Simmer, covered, for 10 mins. Add the Brussels sprouts and simmer for 10 mins more.
    Meanwhile, cook the penne in a saucepan of boiling, salted water according to the packet directions. Drain. Stir the penne through the ragu. Top with parmesan to serve.
