Orange Bundt Cake With Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup plus 2 tbsp (2 1/4 sticks) butter, at room temperature
    2 1/2 cups sugar
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    4 None eggs
    1 cup buttermilk
    2 None oranges, peel grated and oranges juiced
    4 cups flour
    1 pinch salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    3 None egg whites
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease and flour a 10-cup bundt pan. Beat butter, 1 3/4 cups of the sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in buttermilk and orange peel. Add sifted flour, salt and baking powder and mix until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake for 70 mins until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Place cake in pan on a wire rack. Brush cake with 3 tbsp orange juice and cool in the pan for 30 mins. Invert cake onto a plate. Drizzle with remaining orange juice and cool completely.
    Beat egg whites in a large bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, until glossy. Coat the cake with the meringue. Use a teaspoon to create a pattern of peaks. Carefully scorch the meringue peaks with a small blow torch.
