Toad In The Hole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup milk
    2 tbsp water
    1 None large egg
    5 None thick pork sausages
    2 tbsp oil
    1 None onion, peeled and finely sliced
    1 cup fresh gravy
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 425\u00b0F.
    Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Beat the milk, water and egg in a small bowl, then whisk the liquid mixture into the flour, until smooth.
    Heat an ovenproof skillet or shallow ovenproof dish to a medium heat, then cook the sausages for 5 mins, until browned.
    Add half of the oil to the pan. When the pan is hot, pour the batter around the sausages. Transfer the dish to the oven and bake for 20-25 mins, until crisp and golden.
    Meanwhile, heat the rest of the oil in a medium saucepan. Add the onions, and cook until the onions are soft and translucent. Add the prepared gravy, then stir in the sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Season to taste, then cook for an additional 2-3 mins. Serve with sliced toad in the hole.
