Bacon And Asparagus Pasta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13.25 oz fresh fettucine
    1/4 cup olive oil
    10.5 oz asparagus, woody ends snapped off, cut into 1 1/4 inch pieces
    4 slices bacon, chopped
    4.5 oz Parmesan cheese, grated, plus extra shaved, to serve
Preparation
    Cook pasta in boiling, salted water for 4-5 mins, until al dente. Drain.
    Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Saute asparagus for 2-3 mins, until tender. Set aside. Saute bacon in same pan for 2-3 mins, until crisp.
    Add remaining oil, pasta, asparagus and Parmesan cheese. Season. Toss to combine. Serve sprinkled with shaved Parmesan.
