Souvlaki With Greek Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
    1 None large onion, cut into wedges
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    1 tbsp dried Greek oregano

    4 None medium plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
    2 None Persian cucumbers, coarsely chopped
    1 None small red onion, thinly sliced
    1 None large green pepper, coarsely chopped
    3 oz kalamata olives, pitted
    5 oz feta cheese, coarsely chopped
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tsp fresh oregano leaves
Preparation
    For the souvlaki, thread steak and onion wedges alternately onto skewers. Arrange in a single layer in a large shallow dish. Whisk together oil, lemon juice and oregano then pour over skewers. Cover and chill for 3 hours or overnight.
    For the Greek salad, combine tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, pepper, olives and cheese in a large bowl. Whisk together remaining ingredients then pour over salad and toss gently to combine.
    Preheat grill and oil grates. Working in batches, cook souvlaki until browned all over and cooked to your liking.
    Serve souvlaki with Greek salad.
