8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 None egg
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups mixed white, milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 oz red glace cherries, chopped

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper.
Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Add egg; beat until combined. Sift in flour; stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips and cherries. Place heaped tablespoons of mixture 2 inches apart on prepared pan.
Bake 20 mins or until golden. Cool in pan 2 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
