Fruity Bread And Butter Pudding - cooking recipe

1 1/2 lbs fruit bread, sliced
2 tbsp butter, softened
4 None eggs
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
None None Cinnamon sugar, for sprinkling
None None Fresh or canned fruit, for serving
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Spread loaf slices lightly with butter. Place half the slices in bottom of six 1 1/2-cup baking dishes or one 2-quart baking dish.
Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk in cream. Pour half the cream mixture over bread in dishes. Repeat layers with remaining bread slices and cream mixture. Let stand for 30 mins.
Place dishes on a baking pan. Bake for 30-35 mins for small puddings or 45 mins for large pudding, until puddings are puffed and light golden. Let stand for 5-10 mins before serving.
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon sugar and serve with fresh or canned fruit.
