Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 None egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
6 oz chocolate chips, dried fruit and/or nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat butter and sugar until soft and creamy. Add egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt then fold in. Fold in mix-ins until just combined. Shape into 12 balls then arrange on prepared trays and bake for 12-15 mins, until browned at the edges. Let cool for 2 mins then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
