Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 clove garlic, peeled, halved
4 1/2 tbsp butter, chopped
2 1/4 lb potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
1 cup milk
None None grated nutmeg, to taste
2 oz Gruyere cheese, grated
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Rub a shallow baking dish with garlic then grease generously with butter. Layer potato slices in prepared dish.
Bring milk to a boil then remove from heat. Add nutmeg and season. Carefully pour hot milk over potatoes, sprinkle with cheese and dot with remaining butter. Bake for 55-60 mins, until potatoes are tender and golden. Serve hot.
