Onion And Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
1 pkg (1 1/4 oz) active dry yeast
    2 tsp sugar
    1 cup lukewarm milk
    3 cups flour
    2 tsp salt
    1 None egg, lightly beaten
5 tbsp butter, melted, plus additonal 2 tbsp
12 oz red onions, thinly sliced
    1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Place the yeast, sugar and 1/4 cup of the warm milk in a small bowl. Let stand for 5 mins, or until yeast mixture starts to foam.
Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Add yeast mixture, remaining 3/4 cup warm milk, egg and melted butter.
Mix until a loose dough forms. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-10 mins, or until smooth.
Lightly grease a bowl with some oil and add the dough. Cover with a tea towel and let stand in a warm, draft-free place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Melt remaining 2 tbsp butter in a medium skillet on medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 20 mins, or until soft and caramelized. Set aside to cool.
    Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F.
Punch the dough down and knead lightly. Roll the dough into a 14 x 10 inch rectangle. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and the onions.
Starting with a long side, evenly roll the dough up into a log shape. Trim the edges and cut into 11 pieces. Place in a greased 9-inch cake pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand to rise again for 45 mins. Brush with a little melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt.
Bake for 40 mins, or until golden brown.
