Orecchiette With Sausage And Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz orecchiette pasta
    1/4 lb salami, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb cherry tomatoes, halved
    2 oz green olives, pitted and sliced
    1 cup sundried tomato pesto
    1 bunch basil, chopped
Preparation
    Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, drain, reserving some of the water, and set aside. Fry the salami until crispy then remove it from the pan.
    To make the sauce, add the tomatoes to the pan and cook for about 5 mins. Add a little of the pasta water, the olives, pesto and basil, reserving some for garnish. Cook for 2-3 more mins.
    Stir in the pasta and salami into the sauce and heat for 2 mins. Serve with a sprinkling of the reserved basil.
