Mulled Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup brandy
    1 None orange, peel cut into strips
    1 None lemon, peel cut into strips
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    3 sticks cinnamon
    8 None whole cloves
    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    2 bottles (750 ml) Merlot red wine
Preparation
    Place brandy, 3/4 cup water, orange and lemon peels, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in a large saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 mins to blend flavors.
    Add red wine and return to a simmer. Remove from heat. Cool slightly and serve warm or at room temperature.
