Pasta With Prosciutto And Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

14 oz elbow macaroni or other short pasta
1 tsp cornstarch
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
8 slices prosciutto, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
3/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain and return to pan.
Mix cornstarch and a little of the cream in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in remaining cream.
Melt butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Add prosciutto and cook until browned lightly. Add cream mixture, peas and 1/2 the Parmesan cheese. Cook, stirring, until the sauce boils and thickens slightly. Add to the pasta; toss to coat well. Transfer pasta mixture to a greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
Place dish under a preheated broiler until lightly browned
