Quick Sally Lunn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 cup white sugar
    2 cups white flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup milk
    2 tablespoons butter, melted
    1/4 cup sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Beat yolks with 1/2 cup sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt to sugar mixture alternately with milk. Add butter.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.
    Pour into greased loaf pan.
    Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar on top.
    Bake 40-45 minutes.
