Spicy Maple Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe

1/3 cup quinoa or 1/3 cup flour
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 (15 ounce) cans pumpkin puree
5 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup buttermilk
Preparation

In a large pot, combine quinoa flakes, spices, pumpkin, broth and maple syrup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and whisk in buttermilk. Simmer for 5 minutes.
