Cherry Nut Nuggets - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/3 cups finely chopped pecans
maraschino cherry, drained and halved
Preparation

Cream butter and cream cheese and sugar, mix together until light and fluffy.
Add egg and almond extract.
Beat well.
Combine flour, salt and soda.
Stir into creamed mixture.
chill dough at least one hour.
Shape into 1 inch balls.Roll in pecans and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Gently press a cherry half into center of each cookie.
Bake 350 for 16-18 minutes.
