Green Onion Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups green onions, finely chopped (with tops)
    2 cups white wine vinegar or 2 cups cider vinegar
    1 medium garlic clove, pressed
    2 tablespoons salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in jar with tight fitting lid.
    Stir well, cover tightly and place in a dark place for two weeks; shake once a day.
    Strain through several layers of cheesecloth, bottle and store.
