Simply Smashing Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs butternut squash
    2 tablespoons maple syrup
    2 tablespoons margarine
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
    Peel squash and cut in half lengthwise; scoop out the seeds and cut into 1\" pieces.
    In a large saucepan, bring 1\" of water to boil.
    Add squash and return to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until squash is tender.
    Drain.
    Puree squash with remaining ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
