Crowd Favorite Garlic Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread or 1 loaf sourdough bread
    1/2 cup butter
    1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
    1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (fine)
    2 garlic cloves (fresh crushed)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to broil.
    Cut bread horizontally into two long equal pieces.
    Place room temperature butter and mayonnaise in a medium bowl.
    Using the palms of your hands like a mortar and pestle, crush the dried herbs (parsley, oregano and basil) as you add them to the bowl.
    Add salt, fresh ground pepper and crushed garlic to the bowl.
    Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
    Spread the mixture evenly across the two loaf pieces.
    Place bread under broil for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
    Cut into serving size pieces and enjoy.
