Schwarties Hash Browns - Lower Fat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 1/2 cups low-fat sour cream (not fat free)
    1/2 cup skim milk
    2 (10 ounce) cans reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup (284 ml)
    1/2 cup butter (melted)
    1/2 diced onion (medium sized)
    2 cups low-fat cheddar cheese (grated)
Preparation
    Thaw potatoes slightly.
    Add onion to melted butter and cook slowly until soft. Cool slightly.
    Mix sour cream, mushroom soup, and milk in a large bowl.
    Add butter and onion and mix well.
    Mix in cheese.
    Spray a 9 x 13\" baking dish.
    Bake at 350F for about 1 hour until bubbling and golden on top.
