Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large apples (Golden Delicious work really well)
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
    3/4 cup old fashioned oats
    vanilla ice cream (optional) or whipped cream (optional)
    8 ounces caramel ice cream topping (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core,and thinly slice apples. Arrange in a buttered 9-inch round baking dish. In medium bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, butter and oats. Sprinkle over apples.
    Bake for 30-35 minutes until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
    Serve warm. Top with vanilla ice cream and caramel. (if desired).
