Pork Goulash (Verpovy Gulas ) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 -3 medium onions
    1/4 cup lard or 1/4 cup shortening
    1 1/2 lbs fresh pork shoulder, cubed
    1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
    2 teaspoons paprika
    salt
    1 dash cayenne pepper
    2 cups water
    2 tablespoons flour
Preparation
    Saute onion in lard.
    Add pork, caraway seed, paprika, salt and pepper, brown well.
    Add 1/2 cup water and simmer in a covered pan until tender (approximately 1 hour.)
    Sift the flour lightly over the meat juices and stir until brown.
    Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups water and simmer 10-20 minutes.
    Delicious with rice or dumplings.
