The Classic Yankee Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lbs boneless beef roast
    shortening
    1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's tomato soup
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 large garlic clove, chopped
Preparation
    In large heavy pan, brown pt roast in shortening.
    Pour off fat.
    Stir in tomato soup, onion, & garlic.
    Cover & simmer 3 hours or until tender.
    Stir & skim off fat.
    Thicken gravy, if desired.
