Streusel Topped Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    For Streusel Topping
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/4 cup flour, all purpose
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
    For Bread
    2 cups flour, all purpose
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter, room temperature
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    1 1/4 cups apples, chopped
    1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Butter a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line the pan with waxed or parchment paper.
    Streusel Topping:
    Stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Add butter and blend with a fork until the mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in nuts. Set aside.
    Bread:
    Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
    Cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk and mix just until smooth.
    Fold in apples and nuts.
    Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Top with streusel mixture.
    Bake 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
