Swedish Tosca Apples Or Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 apples or 3 pears, peeled cored & halved
    1/3 cup butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons flour, sifted
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1/2 cup sliced almonds
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F Place the apples, round side up, in a well-buttered ovenproof dish.
    Place the butter, sugar, flour, and cream in a pan, heating gently until blended.
    Meanwhile, carefully toast the almonds on a cookie sheet in the oven. --Watch these carefully!
    Pour the melted butter mixture over the apples, sprinkle with the almonds, and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the apples are tender. Serve immediately, with cream. .
