Amish Yellow Pickled Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs, hard boiled and peeled
    3/4 cup water
    1 cup white sugar
    2 teaspoons pickling salt
    1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon dried dill weed
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Peel eggs after cooking and place in glass jar.
    Place rest of ingredients into a medium pot. Bring up to a boil, then lower to a simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Pour brine over eggs, and using caution, place the lid on top.
    Let sit at least 4 days.
