Applesauce Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar, firmly packed
1 cup applesauce, canned
2 1/4 cups cake flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon clove
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add applesauce.
Sift dry ingredients together and gradully beat into first mixture.
Add nuts.
Pour into greased pan and bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
