Mrs. Williams' Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup shortening
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup brown sugar (packed)
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 large eggs
    2 tablespoons water
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 cups quick-cooking oats
    2 cups chocolate chips
    3/4 cup walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla; beat in eggs and water.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Add chocolate chips, oats and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 10-12 minutes.
