Floridanative'S Cajun Black Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

3/4 lb grass-fed ground beef
1 large white onion, fine dice
1 medium green bell pepper, fine dice
2 -3 stalks celery, fine dice
1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth, as desired)
2 (15 ounce) cans organic black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups prepared brown basmati rice
1 -2 tablespoon cajun seasoning (I use Kittencal's recipe The Best Creole/Cajun Seasoning Mix)

black pepper
Preparation

Brown ground beef until no longer pink.
On medium heat, add onions, peppers and celery to beef, and cook until onion is soft and translucent.
Add chicken broth, black beans and rice.
Stir to mix well and add the cajun seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer on low about 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed or cooked off.
Serve with a green salad.
