Poached Spiced Plums - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    800 g firm plums, halved, stones removed
    1 cup caster sugar
    3 star anise
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    yoghurt, to serve
Preparation
    Combine plums, sugar, anise,cinnamon sticks and vinegar in saucepan.
    Bring to boil, stirring gently until sugar has dissolved.
    Cook then gently for 5 - 6 minutes until plums are tender.
    Serve as desired.
