Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 vanilla
1 1/4 almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
200 g ground almonds
3 cups chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0C.
Mix butter, eggs, sugar & vanilla.
Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder in a separate bowl.
Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Stir in chocolate chips and almonds.
Drop golf ball sized dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 -12 minutes until just edges are light brown.
They may not look done, but the hot sugar will bake them more as they cool.
