Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. melted shortening
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 large pkg. chocolate morsels
Preparation
    Mix and sift baking powder, flour and salt.
    Measure melted shortening.
    Add sugar; stir until well mixed.
    Let cool.
    Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Add nuts and chocolate morsels.
    Spread in greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
