Seven Minute Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    4 Tbsp. water
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in top of a double boiler.
    Place over boiling water and beat 4 to 7 minutes or until peaks form.
    Remove from water and add flavoring, as desired.
