Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. plain flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
6 eggs
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. orange flavoring
1 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation

Beat egg whites and add 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside.
Put Crisco and sugar together and cream. Add slightly beaten egg yolks. Add flavorings.
Sift flour before measuring.
Add salt and soda and sift again.
Add milk alternately with flour, then fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
