Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
4 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. fine grated coconut
Preparation

Put butter in cold heavy skillet.
Melt slowly; add eggs, sugar, salt and dates.
Cook slow, stirring constantly and mashing dates, for 15 minutes, until very thick.
Pour over the Rice Krispies and mix well.
Cool; form into small balls.
Makes 35.
