Roll-Out Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and add egg and vanilla.
    Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together; blend, then chill.
    Roll out and cut with cookie cutter shapes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Decorate.
