Chili Burgers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. finely crushed corn chips
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 egg
1 small onion, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
2 medium tomatoes, each cut into 4 slices
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese (4 oz.)
8 hamburger buns, split
Preparation

Mix all ingredients except tomatoes, cheese and buns.
Shape mixture into 8 patties, each about 1/2-inch thick.
Set oven control to broil and/or 550\u00b0.
Broil patties with tops about 3 inches from heat until medium doneness, 5 to 7 minutes on each side.
Place 1 tomato slice on each patty; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon cheese.
Broil just until cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.
Serve patties in buns.
Makes 8 sandwiches; 460 calories per sandwich.
