Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    4 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and 1/2 teaspoon sugar in 1/4 cup lukewarm water in a large bowl.
    Add remaining sugar, salt, shortening, egg and 1 cup warm water; mix well.
    Stir in 2 cups flour, mix, then remaining flour.
    Place in refrigerator until ready to use.
