Strawberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour or 1/4 c. cornstarch
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. scalded milk
    3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    vanilla wafers
    frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar; gradually add milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
    Cook 2 minutes; remove from heat.
    Add small amount to egg yolks; stir in remaining hot mixture.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Add butter and vanilla and cool slightly.
    Layer vanilla wafers, pudding and strawberries, finish with pudding.
    May top with meringue or wafers.
