Mother'S Pecan Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can Pet milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1 small pkg. whole dates
    1/2 stick, butter
    1 qt. pecans
Preparation
    Boil first 4 ingredients on low heat to form soft ball (do not overcook).
    Add nuts and roll mixture in damp cloth.
    Use buttered hands to form a long roll.
    Let cool in cloth.
    When cool cut in smaller rolls.
